What's Possible with Man?

What is possible with man? We can send men to the moon, put a lab in space and put a "video camera on wheels" to spy on Mars. Now don't get me wrong. These are great accomplishments. The Word says that He chose us in Him before he framed the worlds. What's possible with man? Not a lot. :-)

Don't get Caught Up

Don't get caught up in the world. That's what He tells us. Am I caught up in the world? How long can I turn off the television? Do I try to listen to you? Are there too many distractions or do I like distractions? Both? Somehow I don't think I can blame the distractions. The things I want to do I don't do. I'm too familiar with this territory. I'm a trail blazer, forging my way ahead and with every step the woods get darker, yet this compass inside keeps pointing me to true north. That's where the hills are. Unto the hills I lift up my eyes, as I keep traveling this road of souls.

Road of Souls

Since this is my first blog, I tried to think of a unique name. Of course I want to be different like everyone else.
I'm reminded right now of the late great Mark Heard line, "faces in cabs". It's so easy to think of humanity as just another face. God help me not to look at this road of souls in that way. Sometimes on the way to work, I look at the people passing by and like most people I wonder where they are going. Do they know? Do they see You? Do they want to see You. Yet when I think of this, I am reminded that they can see you if they are looking and sometimes even if they are not looking....
